Below you'll find the first of three videos I made to help kids use Qi Gong movements to feel better. The video today is Gorilla Play, which is the fan favorite of the three. I used to teach it at my eldest's preschool; the kids enjoyed it and the educators loved the effect it had on the kids. (Don't have kids? Gorilla Play is good for adults too!)

Gorilla Play is good for anyone, but great for when your child is feeling hyperactive, distracted, challenged with sitting still or focusing, or prone to easy angering. For adults, it's ideal to do as a break when you've been sitting/standing at a screen.

I like to use Gorilla Play to help kids transition from an active to a more calm activity. The tapping helps to move the Qi, energy, of the body in an even way resolving stagnation (read: stress) and helps little ones feel a sense of rhythm that settles the nervous system.

Give it a try and let me know how it goes! Don't forget to do a little gorilla holler while you bang your chest. ;)
